Phoina Beauty is one brand with three businesses in Nairobi: Phoina Beauty — Beauty Salon (hair, nails and makeup), the Phoina Beauty Training Institute (Crafting Skills, Building Careers.) and Phoina Beauty Products. The tagline the business has used since its earliest online presence still fits: packaging confidence into beauty.

Phoina Beauty Cosmetics launched in March 2022 and was covered by 5 Kenyan publications. The catalogue today runs to 29 products — 16 lipstick and gloss shades, setting sprays, a colour palette, highlighters, and 9 human hair bundle lines.

TODO: founding year and founder's preferred public name. The legacy site states neither; press from 2022 names "Phoina Tosha".

Our founder, a trained makeup artist with over a decade of experience, saw a gap in the market. The best-in-class beauty education and luxury studio experiences were either out of reach or didn't celebrate the full spectrum of African beauty. Phoina was built to change that.

Today, we serve thousands of clients, have trained over 500 graduates, and stock a hand-picked collection of beauty products that work beautifully on every complexion. But our mission remains the same: to make every woman who walks through our doors feel seen, celebrated, and stunning.
